Under The Marble Arch
“Seeing what isn’t there is half the job of being on the Left. The other half is changing what isn’t there through costly, intrusive, and ill-conceived initiatives (save 10 percent for keeping Charlie Rangel out of trouble).” -Abe Greenberg, October 9, 2009
Philosopher's Corner

"With their memories of the sixties, when to be young was very heaven, they still believe that an oppositional stance in pursuit of perfection is virtuous in itself—indeed, is the prime or sole content of virtue. And it is this belief that renders them interesting to Hollander, for it makes genuine moral reflection about the nature of various governments and policies impossible. It transforms merely personal discontents into matters of supposedly great general importance."

-Theodore Dalrymple on Paul Hollander: The Only Superpower: Reflections on Strength, Weakness, and Anti-Americanism

Double Your Blog Traffic!

Just write about Wonkette and include something incredibly clever, like the Immutable Laws of Maureen.  Her minions and their computers comb all references to her blog and occasionally she deigns to reference back.  It's like a very exclusive trackback and I made the top of the list.

I name check Wonkette on an occassional basis and have never gotten a nibble. I think a link from wonkette would double my year to date site traffic. Throw me in that briar patch. I hope fame and success doesn't go to your head. Your MoDo post is hilarious.

if you care.

Thanks for tolerating my near spamlike plug.

Wonkette isn't fame and success. Being a guest blogger for David Horowitz is fame and success.

On the one hand, I am an easy mark for suck up comments. Ask any of my friends. On the other hand your posts betray a certain quality that women of my ilk find unattractive, which is to say, you find Leftist females attractive. On still the other hand, they also betray a quality that many females find very attractive, which is that you can't tell that when a woman has had work done. Miss Dowd wins in the Well Preserved Category (a damnation of faint praise if ever there was one) because she has invested in all manner of preservative. She looks quite a bit better now that her lift has relaxed. And the hair wasn't always red, either, but it looks nice in the pics.

BBMoe,

The additional traffic is most warranted and most deserved. I sincerely like the work you are doing here.

I simply wanted to say that, and I have misplaced your email address to do so in a less public manner.

Keep up the outstanding work.
