For more than two weeks now, ever since the spike in crude prices, Negra Modelo Beer has been scarce at the HEB. The six packs have not been available at all, and the cases have been available only sporadically. Yesterday, on the 4th of July, for heaven's sake, they were completely out of NM. This can only mean one of six things:

1. Maríasun and Tony aren't getting along
2. Maríasun and Tony are getting along too well, in which case look for amnesty proposals for Mexican immigrants past, present and future to be floated around Capitol Hill.
3. Sabotage: Terrorists have infiltrated the headquarters of Grupo Modelo
4. The wild popularity of this blog has caused a surge in demand for Negra Modelo, causing shortfalls in supply here (admittedly, an unlikely scenario, based on a ludicrously false premise)
5. Halliburton did it.
6. Karl Rove did it.
