Now, I wonder... did the crying relatives of the Marines who died in Beirut in 1983 make the Times picture of the day?
NYT: "Security officials in Lebanon said Imad Mugniyah, 45, a senior Hezbollah military commander, was killed by a car bomb on Tuesday night in Damascus, Syria. Mr. Mugniyah had been accused in a series of bombings, hijackings and kidnappings during the 1980s and 1990s, including the 1983 bombing of a Marine barracks in Beirut that killed 241 American service members. Mr. Mugniyah's father, Fayez, left, and grandfather held each other during a wake in Beirut."
And now for our official Good-bye, Bad Guy Theme Song, as sung by the inimitable Sonny King in a way that will be especially offensive to those who are mourning the death of this particular mass murderer.
