Yes, I am still doing the online Defensive Driving Course.  A truly Lenten activity, full of penitential thought and actions, though I pine for the days of 5 "Our Fathers" and 3 "Hail Marys."

I'm happy to see that the Republicans can at last rally around a common enemy: Michelle Obama.  Actually, she isn't the enemy.  Her stupidity is.  Not that she's stupid, technically.  There is just something extra special about someone who went to Princeton, then Harvard, who adopts the mantle of stupidity just to have that common touch, so that her constituents can relate.  Well, at least she hasn't turned her back on affirmative action like Clarence Thomas did.  In fact, government directives like affirmative action worked so well for her and her husband that they are proponents of vast amounts of government help to every single person in the U. S. of A. who is disadvantaged as they were so that they all (the Great Unwashed Disadvantaged) can go to Princeton and Harvard.

orgasm060906_228x403.jpgMy two favorite commentaries about Michelle & Barack are from Rich Galen and David Brooks.   David seems to be in his element describing the inevitable Letdown after the giddy climax of the Obamagasmatron (slogan: Yes, yes, yeeeessss, yes YES ooooh yes, yes, unhhh, yes, yes, YES yee-ee-ssss, yes, yes, oh baby, yes, yes, yes, uhhhhhh, oooooh, yessss, YES, yes, yes yes, yes, YES YES YES YEEESSSS

YEEEESSSSS WEEEEE CANNNNNN!
