2 Minutes:

Real correspondence:  subject "Too harsh?"

A friend (unwisely) sent me an invitation to join in supporting the Pickens Plan.

Here is my response:
Why in God's good name would I want to support the efforts of T. Boone Pickens to drill for taxpayer dollars?

Pickens is pushing his 'plan' to enrich himself on taxpayer subsidies for windmills and other boondoggles.

Not to mention the additional fees to be added to our electric bills so transmission lines can be built to transport this erratic source of energy.

If the old fraud were doing this with no taxpayer subvention then I'd have a reason to listen to, and possibly support, him.  As it is, he's just another mouth battening on to the public teat.

Count me out.
Should I have maybe toned it down?

My answer, à la Dear Abby:
Dear Coarse Grit:
I don't think you were harsh enough.  People like this need to be confronted physically, and if practicable, attached by their ankles to a Prius and hauled along hot asphalt for a couple of miles.  Alternatively, you could break wind in their general direction while saying , "Harness this!"
